Thanks for the tip - it's been tough finding sources and info since I started building my clone (yet to see pictures, and probably never will). I think I got the stance where I want it - focusing on trim this weekend. It's been a real "beast" to restore thus far and neighbors aren't too keen on the project either (kids can't wait to go for a ride, tho! . Any input gladly accepted.

Did it look something like this? If it did can you tell me the last place you saw it or atleast send me a pic of the VIN#, where would the VIN be located on one of these? :toothy10::toothy10::toothy10:

I think there's a vin# stamped on the pucker mark under the mud flap.
You have to lift the mud flap to see it.
Thier's another one on the bulkhead by the horns.

Naaah.... it's on the inside curve of the driver's side horn
 
Maybe under the lip by the grill?
Wouldn't hurt to pull it back and look.
 
I think that those ones are also stamped on the undercarage.

I started reading and seen a few fun post's.
I have been very busy and just wondered what is going on here???
I will look closer after I start working out on the drums.
 
Mike, stick with the drums. The buffalo chips are flying fast and furious here. Sort of a Montana based buffalo pie pitchin' contest....... and not all of those patties are dry yet. :)

Hey guys. I have not said anything yet. Rick is a friend/room mate of mine. I have seen the car and it is NOT what he said it is. I just thought I would clear that up. It is a 340 4spd car and most of what he said about the tag is true except the prototype and anything that said it was a 383 r/t. It did have R/T emblems that someone added. The guy doesn't want to sell it. He bought it new and still has the drive train. The 1/4 isn't that bad. He has a nice parts car for it but just has not gotten around to build it yet. I did take pics but my camra is at home and I am at work. If I think about it, I will post them later. As you can see. I don't get on here much. But thats the update. Sorry to all of you who he fooled/tried to. I should have said something sooner except it was kinda funny to see what everyone said.

What? You mean he was lying? Dam! No R/T Dart. I thought it was real for sure. How disapointing to find out. I dont think lifes worth living anymore. You should kick your room mate out, tell him to go play with the Chevy boys, dont need that crap here.
