Nice unported J heads, .030 over-forged pistons, car pan, windage tray, mild cam, 10:1 Pump gas, 06-71 block, very clean inside, Weiand intake. This is a "stock plus" type rebuild. Distributor is not included and it has chrome valve covers. 1600.00. Located in Evansville,In. Click on the photobucket link for pictures.

the stamping is only half on the pad, cant really read it.

Who freakin cares as long as it is embossed on the drivers side.

Unless you need it for a restore job. For a very certain car.
 
To get the ACTUAL assembly date for the ENGINE, you need to look at the front of the block on the machined face. The numbers for the ENGINE are stamped on the driver side of the block, right under where the head mounts. It'll look something like (caution, going totally from memory here) "HW340 R 3650 1234" where H is the series (not 100% sure on this, but H should be 1972), W=Windsor assembly plant, 340=340 (duh), R=regular fuel, 3650=10,000-day calendar date that the engine was BUILT, and 1234=the 1,234th engine built that day.

Look at the top half of the numbers and you can make an educated guess as to what the entire number may be.
