I think that he may have recourse if he can prove that the car was grossly misrepresented with knowledge of the problem areas.
 
wow, $25,000 for a car that needs a full resto. You could easily spend twice the buying price to fix it right.
 
THAT is why i don't buy cars on the internet. if i can't touch it, i ain't gonna buy it.

Realistically, I would have offered $15K for it but after seeing what was wrong with all the sub assemblies, I may have to even reconsider that price.
 
Just 4 years ago I sold my E body for $10,000. Clean interior, No major sheet metal issues, Fresh 440/727/391 sure grip. Now today people are selling cars half as nice for twice the price.
