71 Dart turn signal switch

I recently brought home a 71 Dart partialy done project. Previous owner had installed B+M floor shifter, removed factory steering column and replaced with older manual column. The column is not made for 71 turn signal switch with hazard light switch. Can anyone tell me if later style turn signal switch will work in column if I slot it for the hazard switch?

Welcome to FABO! I guess just about anything can be modified to work but why not just get the correct column? It saves on wiring mods and fabrication time. What did they do for ignition switch?

Ignition switch is relocated under dash along with fuel pump switch and master switch. We plan on sreet/strip use and are not concerned about show quality, just want to have fun with car.

Unless it's done right, custom wiring is not "fun".....especially if you have to trouble shoot it.
