Yes, ammeter terminal rings are of a common model.

I will solder new ones and heat shrinkwrap them. Easy job.
I could leave these two wires alone, but it would be a shame, my ammeter works :D

Of course you will use the correct size terminal for 12 ga wire but even so, those are not as strong.

The factory ring terminals are heavier, have more surface area, and have wire support - also called strain relief, and a rubber seal to the wire insulation.

I found much of the under dash wiring has very little slack. There may not be enough wire length there to install without straining the wire and terminals.

You're right Mattax. I will have to lengthen the ammeter wires with a 2mm wire (the equivalent of US 12 ga)
It will be probably easier to cut and re-use the old ring terminals from my current harness.

Sorry fellas' this isn't a parts wanted thread. Let's keep parts sales in their proper forum. The right thing to do is start a parts wanted thread.
Wasn't he checking compatibility/ cross references for years and options? No Disrespect, TMM, but that's how I read it

Ironracer, TMM did delete the post of CFD244 proposing me to buy an used harness.... It's why you do not understand his warning :)
