71 Demon gas cap

Hello,
I have a 71 Demon I am resto-modding.
When I bought this car it had a locking
gas cap on it.
I am using the stock tank but i need to
find a stock cap.
I was told 71 is a 1 yr. only deal.
Anybody have a part number or have a
nice spare they would like to get rid of ?

'71's are a one year only deal. Seems like a person could get a different year filler tube and get the cap with that??

i have a inncorect nos cap with the deeper tabs, i was thinking i would try to take the tabs off my locking gas cap and put them on my nos one and see if that would work.
worth a try i suppose

I ran into the same problem with my '71. I bought 3 nos caps and none fit. They all wld let the cap turn past locked. I finally found 1 at Monster Mopar. I took it apart and used the nos outer part with the legs from that original cap. Just keep hitting the shows and you will get lucky.
