71 Demon rear marker lights

I bought a 71 Demon someone took out the rear market lights on both quarters and I can tell where the original holes were. Are the rear market lights roughly in the same place as a 72 Duster? My friend has one I can measure from. I also know that the Duster and Demon lights are not the same, I am trying to find some sort of measurement for placement

The first picture shows the location of the positioning of the 71 markers into 72 quarters. You can see where the 72 side marker was located we cut the location in half so we could cover them up. We place the 71 square opening in the correct location. The last pictures are of a original 71 quarter

duster and demon are same in rear...it's the front thats different

71 scamp front and 71 Demon rear gives you 4 Duster chrome markers.

71 Demons have Dart fronts and Duster rears
71 Scamps have Duster fronts and Dart rears

No if you look at the first picture I posted above you can see the holes that were cut in half that are used for 72-76 markers. 70- and 70-71 Duster and Demon are located below the later markers . The rectangle drawn on the quarter below the half holes are the 70-71 location. The rear corner of the marker recess lip almost touched the body line.

In the first picture I cut off the top of the 72-76 marker hole. Then I laid the piece of the 71 quarter against that to locate the 71 marker. I clamped the edges at the top and cut around the piece of the 71 marker I had so I could but weld it in.

Look at the pictures, You can see I cut the hole larger so the recess wouldn't hold the part away from the quarter so it could be cut with a thin cut off wheel while held in place. I left a 1/4 inch on and used the part as a guide to cut it while clamped at the top as stated above.
