Hello all! I have a 71 Demon and am trying to get it together! It was a 6 cylinder car originally and the guy put a small block K member in it! It did not have an engine or transmission in it when I bought it! I am rebuilding an old 318 engine that I had in the garage and plan to put it in the car. I have a rebuilt 727 transmission that I got from a friend, don't know what it came out of, and was wandering if it would mount up! The bell housing is correct and was concerned with trans mounts to the car. Which I will have to buy! Also I was wandering about length. Was there differences in length between A, B, and E body 727's. I found an old discussion where one person said that there was no difference in length for 727's in all cars Mopar made. Just trying to verify? Hoping to use what I have as the budget is very limited! This is my first project car and trying to avoid blunders! Any and all input is welcome! Oh and I will be looking for some front seats as well!

All car 727's are the same length and will bolt up to your trans mount as long as it is from a 67-72 with the flat biscuit.

Any pics? Love to see it.
No pics yet! Not much to look at now but I'll put some up when I take a few! My goal for now is to get it mechanically sound to get it through inspection before the emission Nazis's get in to full blitzkrieg mode! lol No offense intended to any Nazis's out there!

Here is pictures of mine. Everything is repairable except the trunk lid. I'll be looking for an NOS piece to replace it.

Man that is a project! I'm using mine as a shelf at the moment! Going to clean up the garage and get to it today! May be able to take some pics after! I don't have as big a challenge as you do. I had no hood or front fenders when I started. That along with the K frame being swapped said front end collision but I looked passed that in the buying frenzy! Found a hood at Desert Valley Auto parts, actually told them what I needed and they found one! With shipping cost me about $700.00 but worth it! Was in great condition! The fenders I found locally from another Demon that was scrapped but the fenders where in great shape as well! The rest of the car is in good shape but going to inspect closer after I can clean up around it! Hopefully I don't find anything shocking! Had the blinders on when I bought it! Got to prove it to the better half still, as always, that's usually the biggest obstacle! lol

Love having another Demon on here. Best tail panel ever! Well maybe the 68 charger is ok too! Looking forward to watching your progress. Mine took just over four years. But I am slow and DIY. Plus not overly wealthy! Hah! Be patient and I cannot stress enough do your research. This site will literally save you thousands of dollars and untold hours of labor and frustration.

Semper Fi brother! I retired in 2003! Love the Demon! Looks great! If mine looks half as good when I'm done I'd be happy! Nice car! Thanks for the advice! I will take my time but in a bit of a hurry up to get it registered! Then will do a little more of a deep dive! I'm already seeing the value in this site!
