I bought this old car to build for my son about a year and a half ago. We dragged it out of a field down in Georgia. Its an original EL-5 318 car. He wanted to leave most of the paint original for now with that patina look. We built an old skool hippy hood for the car too just to be different. Car is now mini-tubbed with a 4.30 8.75 spool. 340 stroked to 416 with Indy 360-1 heads. 904 with 5000 stahl and RMVB. I just threw this thing together with most of the parts that I had laying around the garage. I can tell ya....car is a freakin beast. Way too much car for my son. Probably gonna be changing driveline soon lol. Just thought I would share some pics and vids of the car. Thanks for looking.

Still got a long way to go. The first show we took it to, he won an award for "Destined for Greatness". We were proud.

No, its got stock leafs on it. Had a lowering block on it when I first sat it on the ground but was too low. Im getting ready to put ladder bars/coil overs on it and lose the leafs.

Sounds like a solid cam ,with lash....
LOL...yeah, excessive lash in the vid. I was actually letting it get heat in it to set the lash for the first time since we put the engine together. Its just a Mopar 590 with 1.6 rocker. Nothing special...

Car is awesome , I love the build pictures.
It's nice to see that you saved a Duster from the field.
