72 340 Holley

Hope someone might know . Did Mopar use Holley carbs in 72 or is it a
replacement carb ? Came off a 72 Challenger . Just going through junk out in my shop and was trying to figure out what I have. Thanks! I can post #'s later if need be.

a 72 340 would have come with a Carter Thermoquad from the factory....it and i believe every other 4 barrel mopar in 72 through 85

Holey's did come stock on a very few MoPar engines. Your size engine would help, but your year tells us it is indeed a T-Q carb unless it is a 318 or /6 engine. OR a 6pak intake of course.

72 340 will have a thermoquad on it....

Holley sold a spreadbore 650cfm manual secondary carb as a replacement for the thermoquad. Don't know the number.

thanks guys its just one of those things taking up space in the shop.
Had it since I was a teenager (I'm 44 now) Just trying to figure if its something I should keep or not. Sounds like its nothing special.
