Great job so far, love column looks great can't wait for more pics :)

I was beginning to wonder if anyone even still reads my thread lol....I don't want to bore anyone. I just like posting pictures of whatever I do to the duster for everyone to see.

The good comments help keep me motivated guys so don't be shy to drop a line or two.

Thanks its was alot of tedious work but I got it done....came out looking really nice (even more so in person rather than by pics).

I did a write up on how to do it your self......if you ever plan on doing the mod than swing on over to the thread and check it out

I have checked it out and joined that thread as well so if I ever get a round to it I'll be able to check it out, and everything so far is great. I might not post a lot cause I think no one wants to here it and it's not like I no much so I lurk alot wow a nickname "Sir Lurks Alot" :p. More pics please. I'm waiting for MORE PURPLE "Plum Crazy" to be exact my favorite color

dash is all back together minus dash pad.....installed my gauge cluster, wired all of the duster up,hooked up battery and I have crank, wipers, head lights, hazards, turns, blower motor, tail lights and all that good stuff!!!!!!

I basically need trans fluid and gas and I can start it up!!!

OK guys here it is!!!!! I spent the after noon busting *** getting the duster ready to run...all wiring done, all fluids done, all hoses buttoned up.

forgot to hook a wire up on back of gauge cluster....after words I had power to everything, wasnt getting spark for a minute but I figured that out also.

battery and gas both ran out trying to get it to start.

kept back firing through exhaust and carb and I figured out I had the distributor set 180 degrees out so I flipped it around.....broke a spark plug so I had to replace it.

then.......she fired right up!!!! monster cam to it too.....Bwa Bwaw Bwaw Bwa Bwa Bwa ....LOL

starts right up , Rpm's turn on fast, runs very very very good, sounds clean, no vibrations,no knocking or ticking or leaking or smoking or exhaust leaks or nothing.

I have a video included for everyone to watch as me and my old man got it running and my little one and wife spectating.

The cameras audio quality does it NO justice....open headers kind of muffles the sound quality....towards the end of the video you can hear the lope to the cam though.

Enjoy guys and tell me what ya think!!!! all the hard work is FINALLY paying off on this duster build!

Sounds pretty darn good!

Thanks!

It runs awesome....like I said, the video does it no justice, When I get some mufflers on there and its day light i will take some better video.

But I am very pleased with how it came out!

OH MAN!!! Its things like this that keep me motivated...especially during those gaps between having car spending money!
I've been folowing the thread since the begining man, and it just gets better and better! I cant wait for more video of her running dude! \m/

Thanks bud!

Glad to know I have a couple "thread followers"

there are times where I begin to wonder if anyone even bothers reading my thread since it has been up for so long and if I should even bother posting updates.

All the interest people show in my thread helps get me motivated to do more work to show more progress to everyone......and the less interest people show, the less progress I seem to post LOL.

I have had the duster for a year now.....worked on it a total of a couple months out of that time due to winter putting a hault on progress and having other stuff to do.

Even though it seems like I may not have got alot done...I have done alot of work, mostly I guess because I pay way to much attention to little details and I spend alot of time putting effort into things that alot of people would not bother with.....but i like the extra "wow factor" lol.

for now I think I am going to finish the interior which shouldnt take TOO long.....and I will then do some quick body work, put it in primer and paint the hood satin black so I can try to get a little driving in before summer is over....and then when winter comes around I will take it to the body shop and finish it up and have it all done next spring.

thanks again

ME TOO ME TOO man I'm telling yah that sounds SWEEEEEEETTT!!!!!! very cool hearing a Mopar engine come to life and starting breathing man so nice and i'm here also keeping tabs on the thread so KEEP BUSY and more video PLEASE LOL, GREAT JOB

I just bought a 69 valiant grille for my duster from another FABO member the other day so when it shows up I will post pictures for everyone to see.

I figured most dusters have the regular duster style grille and those who don't normally opt for the shark tooth grille and I wanted mine to be a little more unique so thats what I am going with.

I have seen one or two dusters with this grille in them and it came out looking really sharp!

This is not my duster....this is a picture of someone elses duster I found on the web with a 69 valiant grille in it.

Thats the look I am going for minus the cowl hood ( I have twin scoops on my hood) and no 340 call out on the hood and mine is plum crazy purple not black.

let me know what you guys think!

My new grille arrived today!!!!

its a 69 valiant grille.....pictures below.

I just have it sitting in the duster for mach up to see what all I may have to modify to get it to fit good and it all looks to be minor stuff and should fit nice.

should stand out from all the other dusters to being that I have only seen a couple duster with this grille.

What do you guys think of it? (imagine the duster all one color and done LOL)

Little bit of an update here everyone!!!

so I sold my bench seat awhile back to another fabo member and I have been searching for bucket seats since..... no junk yards around here had ANYTHING like I wanted....I wanted black leather and would prefer power....all anyone had close to that was tan or grey leather and even then they were in less than nice shape and they wanted a ton of $$$ for them....and for some reason my local junkyards don't know how to roll windows up before ripping the battery out....and rain fills the interior aswell as critters and what not.

ANYHOW .....I was just getting ready to order a set of summit racing bucket seats.....and then I found an ad on craigslist about 2 hours away from me....so I went and picked up a NEW set of bucket seats!!!!

The best part is....the guy wanted $200.00 for them which was already pretty cheap and I got him to take $100.00 for the pair!!!

There exactly what I had been looking for....there Black leather power seats from an 08 Acura TL Type S.

He got them from his buddy who worked for the manufacturer and if anything related to the seat airbag wiring did not meet the manufacturers standards they were instructed to throw them in the trash....so he had been taking them home and stock piling them lol.

they were power , heated and had side air bags but I undid all the heated seat wiring and air bag wiring because I will only be driving in the summer and I didnt want to accidentally hit a wrong wire and pop an air bag.

so all I have to do now is make up some seat mounts to match up to my floor pan, run a 12v circuit and route my power seat wires and Ill be in business!!!....

$100.00 is a score I think for what these are....what do you guys think?

Popped my headlights in and hooked up the grille signals and checked all my wiring, high beams, low beams,signals,4 ways and all that good stuff and everything works great!

I love the way that 69 valiant grille looks in there.:-D

The last post I made with the pictures of the grille bumped my thread up a page....so for those of you that missed it, I posted pictures of my new seats at the end of the last page so check it out!:read2:

Looking good.
Kind of reminds me of the custom tube grills from the '60s

WOOHOO, drove the duster today!!!......only 10 feet out of my garage so i can clean my garage up but hey......thats still a big step, who knows how long it has been since it has moved under its own power.

Installed all my B&M shifter components last night so I was able to check the tranny out today and it is spot on when running it through the gears.

now I just have to mount the shifter down to the floor pan and I should be able to cross that little bit off the list of things to do lol.
