Im building this as time/money allows. Due to a tight budget, i tend to test my patience and wait for good deals to pop up, and jump on them as they appear rather than buying parts in any particular order.
this thread will document little deals here and there as i find them for the progress of my build. My buddies have named me "The Dealmaker" which is fine, but sometimes frustrating.
sso, here goes.

1972 Gold Duster. Non-original motor, but era correct. 318 w/ I believe a 904 trans. Pretty straight, but will need some work. $1,000 was the sale price, no negotiation...

The car has all its paperwork, down to reciepts for fuses. Kinda cool he kept all that!

Heres the driveline donor...its an 87 Ramcharger. Owner put a 318 based 390 stroker in it. Forged internals, Weiand intake manifold, 360 heads w/ bigger valves, adjustable roller rockers and had a Lunatti cam. Backed by a 727 w/ a 3200 stall. One of the lifters failed, bent a pushrod and ground down the cam and he gave up. Needs a new cam, lifters, pushrods and maybe new bearings/rings (TBD). The 318 from the Duster will go in this and this engine and trans will go in the Duster. This will become the towpig.
Price for truck was$ 500

My buddy bought this Mallory distributor for his 390 Build, bit they sent him one for a LA motor, not his Magnum motor. Never used and donated to my project.

This was also donated by another friend, was gonna be used on his Malibu but that project is being scrapped...and will now reside in the Duster.

You got some good friends. My two buds and myself are always helping each other out with parts, labor and beer. When the time comes for a rebuild on my '65 Cuda's 318 I'm planning on a 390 stroker kit and will be following you build with a lot of interest. Post lots of updates and pics.
