727 & 904 casing differences.....

So, im asking this question b/c im running a 727. And my money is burning a hole in my pocket while i get ready to buy headers. Im seeing that the "Dougs" smallblock headers will not work with a 727. So, Id like to know why, and if there is anything i could do to make it work......

The 727 is a much larger diameter than the 904. I don't know Doug's headers but I'd say if they say they won't work you probably won't be able to make them work because they probably wrap close to the trans. for chassis clearance and there is no modification you can do to a trans. case to make it smaller.

Thanks, i think i'll contact them to see where the issue lies before i go ordering them....
