727 endplay ?

Hi!

How should i set the endplay when assembling my 727? The planned use for the unit is dragracing and some street driving.

The tourqflite book explains a dragracing unit should be set at .015 - .012 , how will this endplay work in a partly street driven tranmission ?

Should i set it a bit looser or should i stick to the book? What are your recomendations/experiences with this?

Chris it's allways a good idea to set the gear train end play to .012-.015 whether it be a street trans. or a race trans. That's where I set all the ones I do and have never had a problem. From the factory they were pretty sloppy sometimes. I've seen them as loose as .080".

You never know when you read it in the race section of the book, some things are just for race :)
