What do you call the heavy duty sprag for a 904, just curious. The 904 is the way to go, just be sure to put the heavy duty sprag in it. I have one in the Demon & a spare, just in case. Both have RMVB & trans brake.

Not true, there is a super beefy 30 element available now that does not use rollers and springs. I got mine from ati. Here are some pics of mine during the install.there is no heavy duty sprag for the 904.....the stock is riveted in and can be removed by drilling the heads off the rivets....have done it a couple of times....
just repaired one a couple of months ago.....
Burnout in first only, why? Maybe your low reverse band was out of adjustment and not holding the drum. What valve body do you have and is it a brake?Yes it does have low band apply. Saved me some headaches.........or foot aches! Burn-out in first only so the low band helps out the sprag, for the last 9-10 years. Definitely got my monies worth out of it.
They do. 30 element dogbone sprag. A&A has it and Ati has them that I know of.It might not explode, but it can still tear up the sprag. Not sure the make a 16 or more element sprag for 904, but the car will eventually get a 904
No harder to install than any other. Ati has two sizes.ATI - TF904 Low Sprag Assembly
