727 pistol grip for 67 dart gt

The chrome on the bushing and grip is highly polished and the quality is exceptional.

The first step is to remove your old push button, spring and knob by removing the setscrew located just under the shifter knob.
I kept mine just in case I wanted to re-use them at another time.

Next I placed the small flat washer over the shifter mechanism cable followed by the spring and then the spacer bushing.
Be sure to line up the set screw hole with the shift lever screw depression.

The pistol grip simply slides down over the shift lever and bushing, aligning the elongated hole in the grip with the set screw hole. The set screw is now placed in it's threads and tightened.
I re-used my old set screw just because it's a bit shorter than Rick's and won't show as much.

Operation's simple. Just slide the whole grip down on the shifter, operating the slide in the gate, and shift into any gear just as if you were using the push button knob.

The grip's at a great comfortable angle and it's easy to use. Simple to shift and looks great too.

Very sweet.

Thank you. It works really well and I have a TF2 shift kit in my 46rh that works perfectly. The shifter is so easy to interchange with the stock push button that if I feel like a change I can do it in 5 minutes. I’ll try to get more pics on tomorrow.
