727 year?

Trying to figure out what year the 727 out of my race car is. I tried to look up the numbers but couldn't find anything. First number is: H2538334 second is:2949027. Thanks for any help.

Yea, not sure what year it is.

The H2538334 is a 1966 361-383 in Chrysler,Dodge and Plymouth model year.

1966 was also the last year of oddball input shaft and I think that torque converters are difficult to get for these. If you're going to rebuild this you should change the input shaft to the later style.

Thanks, I didn't realize I needed to drop the H to get the part number. It already has a 10 inch convertor I'll check what input shaft it has. I'm thinking someone's been into this thing at least once.

If it's already got a 10" converter your probably right in that the input shaft was already changed.
