Could someone confirm if this bar is for a 73-76 A-body? Doesn't seem to line up with control arm brackets.

Yes, this looks like it is for the later years. I might have one that should work for you too ($75 plus shipping). It is 37" between hole centers.

Are you slipping it into the K member? That's where it's supposed to go.

I think some of the B/E bars look similar, but are wider. That is definitely NOT an earlier A-body bar. What LCAs do you have?

Upper is late, lower is early.

The factory E-body bars are straight in the middle.

That is an A-body 73-76 sway bar if it came from a mopar.

IIRC, I've measured a 73-76 sway bar hole to hole distance before. Or commented on someone that did. So, try to search my username (autoxcuda) and sway bar measure width. Try to google search that too.

Sorry I'm not around my 73-76 sway bars right now. Possibly tomorrow night.

Thanks so much guys, it's definitely from a later a body. Would there be any need to upgrade to a larger bar? This Duster is going to be a cruiser but there's a lot of curvy roads in SE Ky. I have the big block T-bars and rebuilt stock suspension. This sway bar looks interesting. Would it be overkill?

Not overkill.

Should fit well. I worked with Hellwig on the prototypes for that sway bar. I took 4 tries to get a really excellent fitting sway bar.

Just jack up the front end a bunch to feed the sway bar through the kmember. Need to take on tire off to help you feed it through. The attaching hardware is very sturdy and all the nuts and bolt needed come with the kit. Took me about 1 1/2 hours to install mine that has existing sway bar.

73 and up bar threads through the K member. Logically their turned ends are quite short or it would never thread through there. The bar you have pictured goes around the K member.
Although any sway bar is better than no sway bar, these early design bars weren't great. Long and limber timber describes them.
If you have 73 or later K get the correct shorter and stronger bar.

Thanks again for the info Guys much appreciated. I think I'll try the Hellwig Bar on the old Booger.
