Is there any easier way besides welding a washer n basically Yanking it out? with a slide hammer? And how do you get the pivot shaft out? Any Special tools out there to make the job easier? I'm a sucker for specialized tools even if I only use em once or twice. Get it done right. :)

I found...once I had the arms out and the new parts in hand. I took them to a service station. They have the tools/press etc. It was very cheap and I waited only 15 min. Cost was about 12.00.
That's my input, however.

oh they bring such joy to my life. if your going with poly lowers, you can leave the outer sleeve in the LCA. find a shop with a press and a smaller size drift and press them out fom the back. if your using stock rubber, they do sell that tool, nver used it myself. i use a cape chisel and fold it in on itself and then, thru the hole you used to press out the pivot shaft, punch it out. i usually use the polys.
