In my 73 Dart we are building a strong 360.
On the shelves I have a ceramic coated set headers, Doug's D450. That's a set for early A bodies.
Can I put them in? What needs to be done?
We already found out that the drivers side is close! Only thing is to grind away the lever of the column shift. (just put an aftermarket floor shifter in).

Specs of the car:
73 Dart, slant six K member with Schumacher conversion mounts
360 with the correct oil pan (392 stamped in)
Column shifter
Power steering (manual box available, if necessary)
727 tranmission
Stock starter. (might need a mini starter?)

Has anyone done this before? Some hammering if needed no problem. The headers are pre-used and already have all kind of scratches.

I don't know but can post a picture of the ones that are supposed to be used.
Here's Doug's 453 for reference so you know how they look to compare to what you have

Just a FYI The 450 cost more new than 453. You could probably sell them and get the right ones.

He's in europe... probably not a lot of early A's rolling around there.

In the US, I agree sell them and get 453's.
