I am looking for a rear bumper for a 73 Dart Sport. I have a VERY nice 74 up rear bumper to trade if interested. Located in NH.

I'm pretty sure I have one but shipping would be ugly. Is there a way to verify if it's the right one?

The one on my car (above) has the bumper jack holes towards the outside of the bumper. I believe it to be 74 and up. The ones with this posting is a 73 (I think). The bumper jack hole is a little closed to the center of the car. Also a 73 does not have as many holes. No lower holes on the out side edge.

I have one in Michigan but shipping would be very high. It is in good driver condition shape with one rounded dent on the passenger side upper corner.

Not sure why it was on this 72 duster but it is a 73 bumper I believe.

Thank you for the response, but looking for something in better shape. Something Ill probably never find...

If I remember correctly, ma mopar started putting the Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers on in 73. , then in 74 or 75 went to the 5 mph safety bumpers

That is correct. 1973, no safety bumpers, but had the buggy bumpers. 1974 + had both I believe.

No way of knowing if it is original to the car or not, but this is the bumper that was on the 73 Sport my son dragged home. It has the extra holes that you do NOT want. Maybe another early vs. late application??

Ah, good, so you do understand that you just can't bolt the '73 bumper up to the '74 shock mounts. Using the '73 bumper either requires making a set of intermediate brackets to go between the shock mounting location and the regular '73 brackets to use the '73 bumper, or welding up and reinforcing the tail panel to match the earlier cars and using the '73 brackets. Getting the '73 bumper on is relatively easy, making it look factory requires a decent amount more work.

This thread has the most info, plus links to my build thread where I swapped mine over 1974 Duster rear impact bumper(remove, reinstall bumper without it)

And I apologize, I do not have a '73 rear bumper. Shipping would probably be prohibitive if I did considering the distance.
