Hey gang,

Putting final touches on my 73 Duster before hitting the road. I realized pretty quick that I had no wire harness hanging down running to my back up switch on my trans.

Brewer's Performance - Mopar A833 4-Speed Transmission and Component Specialists

I found the harness on brewers but they have it listed for 70-72 but I can’t imagine it’s different for 73 but also I could Mopar works in mysterious ways haha. Looking to source photos from you guys where the harness would plug into the bulkhead and maybe some clarification on wire colors to look for as well. Also I would imagine the reverse light indicator next to ash tray ties into that harness as well?

I found a couple threads on here last night but it was guys with early A’s etc hopefully someone with the old service manuals can give me some good intel. Thanks
Kevin

Buy the harness from Brewers. It will work for any 4 speed car. It is not complicated to wire in the reverse lights but the plugs in the harness will be helpful

Cool thanks, I’ll do that. How are you and Steve doing, I’ll have to stop up at the shop with my car once it’s good and on the road.

Did digging at the bulkhead, looks like I may have found the reverse light harness here’s some photos it shares the same bulkhead connector as my wiper motor which from what I’ve seen in other posts would make sense. Thoughts?

Looking for some feedback on this, Brewers is out of stock on their 68-72 back up switch harness with no ETA right now. I checked Year One and they list a 68-70 harness 4psd and 71' harness 4spd, any chance you think I can get this 71' harness to work from them? Ive also found a book store and bought the 73 facotry service manuals to have so I can start to trace wires and figure out where I need to tap into on my application for this harness, I'd like to not hack up the wiring if at all possible to get these reverse lights working.

This is familar.
At least two threads in the past year or two dealing with this connector and harness or a '73 or '74.
here's one.
