everything worked perfect before removing to replace wiper seals and gaskets.before replacing i plugged in switch(instrument cluster is now out for detailing) to try........motor runs constantly on only one speed and will not park.
bad switch....bad motor...bad ground(does switch need to be in cluster to work properly) anybody have any tests before i replace everything. thanks!

Looking at the '74 FSM the 3 speed wiper switch needs to be grounded. Doesn't look like the 2 speed does.

Yep I have drove a car without the instrumnet panel for about a month. The wiper switch needs to chassis ground. Just lay it in the right spot and it will function properly. My experience was when I hit a bump the wipers might start. :)
