OLD THREAD

"Too many projects. Good running stock 318. Looks like the heads have never been off. Guy I bought it from had it about a month. He got it from the original owners estate. I've owned since 2012. About 5 years ago pulled the motor and trans. Pulled intake and cleaned crossover. Rebuilt carb. Did the Freeze plugs, Timing chain (Cloyes? Dbl roller), HV oil pump (Melling), Stock 69' 340 oil pan with swing baffles welded in (because it was laying around), Fuel pump, Power steering pump and lines, 2 row no name aluminum radiator, All the trans seals, External trans cooler, U-joints. A/C, everything north of the firewall was replaced and set up for R134, new Heater core. Vinyl roof removed and rattle can painted until ready to do right, have all the bright work. 7 1/4" w/ 2.76's. Original power Disk / drum converted to manual. Interior is usable, just worn out. Very straight body, looks like the front pass fender was replaced many years ago. Added the drivers side under dash vent, needs to be finished. KYB's all around. HEI conversion on stock dist. Front end was rebuilt with an old PST poly kit I had. Stock 14" wheels. This was my DD for about 4 years, very reliable. In Los Angeles. CASH or PAYPAL. Not looking for trades, but you never know...$4000"

been getting a lot of work done on the valiant lately, and i'm in danger of having time to work on this by the end of the year, so here's hoping someone buys it first

guessing ~ $2000 - $3000. seems like it's worth it if you're looking to buy something local that needs quarters, rockers and a trunk welded in.

... Any idea how much it costs to ship a car from California to Minnesota?

more interest but no takers yet. this thing needs a new home :steering:

i've decided to add these wheels and tires with the car. full set, 205/75/15 on 6'' and 225/75/15 on 7''. i'll get them mounted and new pics up next week

Did you ever get the other wheels installed?
that's funny, i got so busy working on the valiant because the weather was nice, i completely forgot. i was just trying to figure out where the lugs are. will try in the AM.
you buyin' if they look good? :D

so either i never had lugs for these wheels or i just can't find them. however, the wheels are still part of the deal. also have new center caps.

just to be clear, the wheels are Wheel Vintiques aluminum slots. the PO didn't like the caps those came with and got these instead.

I had my Barracuda shipped on an open trailer from Los Angeles to Kansas City for $800 including tip for driver. Worked out great. If it is not a show car or very high value, I don’t think an enclosed trailer is worth it for 2-3 times the cost
