74 Dart

OK so I'm here again.. damn I hate automotive wiring ..
for the years I've had this 74 the light always worked. now it does not.
did a voltage and ground check... both OK.. has a good 10 + volts and grounded
to the dash frame... but the filament will not light, I bought a new one from Dorman
still does not work, and this socket has voltage... is there something I"m missing.

dome light and "map" light not working..
I did have voltage to the dome fixture... but now no voltage to the map lighte switch and
the door jam switches have not volate.. (both are brand new) I hate wiring...
especially in cars..
Anyway if anyone one has a good idea on the light, not working I'll start there...
Also Flasher is not working
Now to tell the truth I did silance the buzzer, and seat belt interlock, but I don't think
they would cause the lights not to work. Also my Temp gauge is not working,
but I can work on that....
Did I mention I hate automotive wiring?
I do have a Haynes book, but hell they don't even show the right door switch or the lighter
at least I have not found them...
I'm going to sit down and go over the schematics now for the 10th time...


I remember working on a 25 Flint a few years ago... and over the decades
they had replaced or upgraded the dash wiring about 4 times, never removing the old
wiring, just install new wiring, what a rats nest that was...
