'75 Duster rewiring - opinions on direction?

-
Mike,
I was surprised at the length of the wiring in this kit. At the outset I was just planning to splice into the front and rear light harnesses but there was plenty of wire to reach everything. I'm happy to say this 1975 vehicle has no old wiring in it anymore :). To answer your question that would depend on where you mount it. You should have plenty if you mount it forward. Keep in mind the shorter wires in this kit are for anything going into the steering wheel and the dashboard. Regardless you could easily add longer wire wherever you need it.

I give this harness a clear thumbs up, well worth the $185 price. I'm glad I went this route rather than more than double the price of competitors.

Hope this helps...
Sal
Yes it does, Thanks.
I have my car basically safe of old wiring but would really like to redo the hole thing as I have added so much stuff that there is fuses and relays everywhere. It would be nice to have everything centrally located. If something happens to me nobody is every going to figure out what the hell I`ve done.

Update

This past weekend I hooked up battery power cautiously. First I pulled every fuse and put a test light in series with the negative battery cable to see if I had any drains, none at all :). Then I tested each circuit one by one by putting in each fuse and first checking for drains again, then tested the respective output (lights, fan, etc.). Went without a hitch. Tried firing it up, it cranked over but wouldn't start because no fuel to carb. Using starting fluid it fired up but died after a few seconds. Figured the fuel pump would have pumped some fuel by that time but no dice. I have a fuel delivery problem now but that's to figure out this weekend.

All in all very satisfied with this product and the end result (except for my fuel problem). Once I figure that out and get it running I'll tidy it up with some permanent tie wraps and get it all put back together :)

Wiring project is pretty much complete. Everything works, car runs (fuel problem solved - bad fuel pump), very happy with the EZ Wiring kit. Now just have to finish the sound deadening, install the new carpeting, add the shifter trim, and drive the car :)

Did your speedo cable hook to the gauge OK? My Classic dash has the same configuration as yours gauge wise. The support behind the speedo had to be drilled open to accept the cable to the back of the gauge. I ran all of my wires in split loom for added protection.

Very nice, love the 4 speed. My gauges are Speedhut. The speedo is GPS, removed my cable all together :)

Back running again. Cleaned up the engine and dressed it up a bit too (see before pic - yuck). Needs a little tuning, hope to run it at the track soon...

Well I finally ran the car at the track, it ran 12.498. Not bad, I was pretty happy. All the work I did paid off, had a great time. Made 5 passes.

The best part of it all was I brought it back in the same condition as before I left. Now to make it faster :)
