bigdemo1,
I have ALOT of parts for your car! Some nos some used.Get a list together of what your looking for and send me a pm.I was a fbody guy for many years.

congrats on ur purchase!

They are a klunker to drive...my girl friend was given a new one in '78,I think, it had a 318 and auto. Orange or redish to boot...I am going back..

When you started it..warm or cold..when you put it into drive or reverse..it would always KLUNk!

On the highway, it was odd..it felt like things we not tight.loose would be the word I think..

I was surprised how better our '75 original everything drove that the Aspen..

I suspect the new gen will like 'em but to ours, we remember what they were like..

However, if they float your boat, I would try to beat him down a bit..and I will consider it one more MOPAR that was saved..

Ian.

i have a 73 road runner (like daisy dukes type a deal) and the underneath is in great shape needs body and minor interior work..... got it with a 400 out of crysler 300 (yeah i know i dont like it eather lol) and i paid 800$

just my 2 cents but im cheap maybe thats why.......not my cup a tea but hey if you like it thats alright but remember this ......

if your not 100% head over heals for the car dont get it waite and get what you really want or you get tired of it quite fast and then a guy like me will pick it up under a grand :p

Well I'm head over heels with my 73 dart sport 340 #'s matching original paint car, thought I'd use this for fun and a little racing, thanks for the offer but I can afford to keep all my stuff.

I personally like seeing cars from this era. Most are long gone since places like California made it more expensive to smog certify them than they were worth. And they didn't fair well in other parts of the country due to the elements and lack of interest since they weren't considered valuable or economical. Not to mention the original vacuum controlled EPA bs never lasted more than 5 years before making it impossible to keep them stock unless you were a mechanic.

I saw this car (non Mopar but still cool imo) locally and it held my attention way longer than all of the cool classic and muscle cars:

A guy I went to High School with had one, always liked it.

There is one local around here orange roadrunner for 1800.

Is that the one that pops up on craigslist from time to time?

Those cars are the kind that I look at and I can tell why some people like them and why most people hate them. They are like the ultimate white trash, wannabe Burt Reynolds cheap muscle car.

If we didn't have smog laws out here I'd buy one 8)

i would be head over heels too LOL .... this wasnt an offer btw ive made the mistake quite a few times of bying cars i didnt really like it was just wow i want it then later down the road i had invested money in it and then got sick of the project.....it sucks but it happens ...\

Don't try and even tell me a basterdized f-body is a real roadrunner, not even close...thats like calling a newer charger with daytona decals a real daytona:toothy10::toothy10::toothy10:..

or worse thats like calling a 4 DOOR a charger!

but that is one nice looking F-body for the money

The Super Pak was an appearance only option on Roadrunners and Aspen R/Ts beginning in 77. I had a 77 Aspen R/T Super Pak, it had a 318 2v anda 7-1/4 rear end. In 79 I belonged to the Richard Petty fan club and attended a NASCAR race at Riverside Raceway. It had been raining the morning of the race and the club members along with the local Wing Car club were allowed to drive arround the track to help dry it off. When we were lined up waiting to go onto the track, some guy looks under the rear of my car and tells his buddy "see that there is one of them Dana 60 rear ends under there". Still laughing 30+ years later.

On the F body, the Roadrunner and R/T packages were trim only and could be had with any engine, even the 225.

Thanks,I was aware of that,mine is a 318 2 barrel 904/7.25 MV1 superpak one of 2398 built(even fewer with factory air)so I think I did well.

i like the f body roadrunner like yours... im 22 so didn't grow up in that era but i like them... i own 3 1979 amxs with all the louvers, flairs, over the top decals/stickers and love them. not power house or muscle car era but still fun cars... late 70's car will catch on.

I had a 78 Volare wagon, super six, 2bbl, auto. I threw away the Carter carb and replaced it with a Holley, put some magnum 500's and 70 series tires and drove the hell out of it. I loved that car. I had dreams of putting the RR wheel flairs and air dam on it and having a stripe made that read LOAD RUNNER. Oh well, another wacky idea i didn't follow through on.
A buddy of mine had a 79 AMX, 304, 4 speed, black. He wanted my wagon in the worst way and was willing to do a straight up trade. We all know what happened...wish I'd have made that trade.
Funniest thing was, every time he went to the parts store to get something for the AMX, They would tell him there was no listing for a 79 AMX with a 304.

here are a few pics of white one i own

I like these,a friend(does my body work)has a 71 SC360 sort of mustard orange, another has one of these(black)always thought AMC never got the respect they deserved.

i know if i pull into car show with duster or cuda i get some looks but ehh... i pull in with my white amx and get a lot of attention and come home with trophy. it gets a lot of looks... i also have a black one with a 368 with 5 speed, also a red amx restoring to be nicer then the white amx

plus there short wheel base makes donuts in small area super easy haha

Not my cup 'o noodles, but that really doesn't matter. I'm glad you got what YOU like. If everyone liked the same cars, nobody could afford them, and no body could give them away! We had a Volare station wagon when I was a kid, 318 2bbl. Lemon from the word sold. Funny thing, the demo we got for a couple of weeks while ours was being shipped, seemed like a great car, go figure. Congrats, man!

When I was a kid(13 or 14)my dad let me drive a 77?Volare wagon on the beach at daytona, and told us the history about the races.Well I sure thought I was something,LOL.
