Can someone tell me what gear reatio this 8 1/4" rear axle is by numbers stamped on it?

Nope! That’s a part number for the housing. You need to open it up and look at the ring gear OR count the turns (search that up top. It’s been asked a bunch of times.)

No you can't. There should be a small metal tag under one of the cover bolts that will have the ratio.

Part of the casting ID number, most likely. Used for foundry reference, has no bearing on ratio identification.
