8.25 brake upgrades

It has 10x2.5" BBP brakes on it now right?
Cheapest would just be to upgrade to semi-metallic or carbon semi metallic pads (Firm Feel). WAY better than any of the organic pads, if that's what it has now. They also make finned 10x2.5" drums, they're a bit heavier duty than the smooth ones. More material, better cooling.
Next would probably be to grab a set of 11x2.5" backing plates and hardware. They came on B/C body cars and some of the trucks that had a 5x4.5" pattern, and ran late enough to turn up in the wrecking yards. They're also pretty common on ePay. A finned set of 11x2.5" drums and semi-metallic pads is a pretty significant upgrade, that's what I run on my Challenger now and its a noticeable difference. But, you add a decent amount of rotating mass with those big old heavy drums.
After that you're looking at disk brake kits, which definitely aren't "cheap".
Here's a list of donor cars for the 11x2.5" brakes. Keep in mind they were an option on some of them, so even if you find one of these models in the yard it doesn't guarantee it'll have 11x2.5" drums. And, some of the trucks have a larger bolt pattern, although you could have those drilled if you really wanted to.

Ok, I did a quick search and found this http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=119514&highlight=mtandrews Looks like it will work with a few modifications. Nice cheap disc brake set up!
