8 3/4 / 9" Ford Hybird Rear Axle

Here we have an 8 3/4, 489 case, 4:86 geared, sure griped third mounted in a Ford 9" housing with 3" axle tubes, 4 link brackets, lower coil over mounts, and back brace. It has the large inspection filler and comes with Summers Brothers Axles with 5/8" screw-in studs, the housing has 8 3/4 / Dana 60 housing ends and the axles have the Green Brgs. It measures 46 1/2" axle flange to axle flange. This axle has all new gears and brg, and was only run in on jack stands, never used or raced. Price is $900.00, if you have to have it shipped you will have to figure out all the details including crating. I might be willing to drop it off where ever for a fee.

Real quick...I'm curious as I have no idea...What is the point of putting an 8 3/4 third member in a ford 9" housing, and or putting a ford 9" third member in a mopar housing??? Is it hard to do, alot of fab work???
