8-3/4 axle ready sleeve

I recently had a new end welded on my 8-3/4 at Moser. I had them press the new bearings on at the same time (not green bearings). i had noticed there seemed to be a ready sleeve where the seal rides. Apparently it had to be removed to press the bearings on. my question is - does anyone know what size sleeve would have been used and where to get one? i mic'd the shaft and it seems to be 1.550". I picked my parts up when Moser was closed so I didn't get a chance to ask them. Thanks for any help.

do you need the ready sleeve? is the seal surface bad still?

I have not dealt with this in years, but outfits like CR (Chicago Rawhide) used to list the repair sleeves in their applications for seals, wheel bearings, front engine seals, etc
