8-3/4 behind my Slant

[1968 Valiant]

I am grearing up for a big block swap into my 68 Valiant 4-door (yes I picked the 4 doors on purpose). I have my 8.75 sitting and ready to go.

My question is will this bolt directly in with my current 225 /6 or will I have to modify my driveline??

If I could bolt this in now I would be one step closer but I do not want to have to have a driveline modified twice

You will need to shorten the drive shaft or get a drive shaft from a similar car that had an 8 3/4 in it.

I think I shortened my driveshaft 2.25 inches when switching from a 7.25 to the 8.75

did the u-joint from the 7 1/4 fit up to the 8.75 after the shorten???

My U joint did!! I had to Cut and weld the drive shaft, like others have said. Have fun!!
