8 3/4 brake lines

Hey Guys

I purchased a brake line kit fron Fine Lines and started installing the lines on the 8 3/4 but for some reason the pass side is too short and the drivers side is too long to go into the block on the rearend. I am not sure what the 8 3/4 is out of but I thought it was from an A-body?? It did have small bolt pattern axles/brakes and the spring perches seem to line up and are in origianly locations. Did they mount the brass distribution block in different locations on different years or something?? It seems if I moved the block about an 1 1/2 towards middle of the housing the lines would be fine. Or do I need to order differnt brake lines for a differnt year???

Yes there is a different location for the mounting block, depending on year.
Someone posted recently, I've been trying to locate the thread to see the year the change happened.

67'-69' 8 3/4 has the vent hole more to the middle of the axle and 70'-71' 8 3/4 has vent tube more on the axle tube, I just went though this problem myself. Sounds like you have the 67'-69' lines. Good luck, hope this helps.
