So Its time to replace my seal, its been leaking a few drips each day on the garage floor. Just gotta find a really big socket now.

I checked the fluid, its still fine, but its got some pressure in there. Wondering if the vent is plugged. How do you clean it? Does that little cap pop off?

Going to do the axle seals too, as one is leaking a bit. While I have the axle out I may as well adjust the back lash.
How do you do this? I googled it, but all I get is the same axle info, on all the sites, but none really explain how to set the back lash.

Sigh, seems like I have taken my wheels off and on 100 times in a week dealing with that stuck wheel cylinder too.

Ditch the drums, install Green Bearing and run Disc brakes ( I will be after I finish my rebuild on my rearend). Also ditch the 741 and get a 742 or 489 (preferred) and use a solid instead of a crush and no more back lash problems. You can get the soild one for about 80 bucks (that what I paid for mine).

Yeah, disks are in its future sometime. What i want is that Reilly Motorsports set up

$3000 for that whole subframe set up, coil overs and disk brakes and another $1500 for the rear set up

Last time I checked it was 1800 for rearend, 1500 for brakes and 4500 for front. My only problem with the setup is the Mustang II front end is the stay as a pinto and the wheel bearings are super small. Now if the setup was based for say corvette (which has bigger wheel bearings) I'd be all over it.

Why are you wanting to adjust backlash?

My 2 cents, if it isn't broken, don't fix it.

Yeah the RMS front in is based off the Mustang II. Wish it wasn't, but if RMS which to a Corvette version, I'm sold.
