Hey guys
My 8.75 housing is in the hot tank at the machine shop to clean up.
Someone local can sand blast and powder coat the housing for $150.
What is your opinion on that price?
Also, I have thought about just wire-wheeling the housing and painting with POR15.
This is not for a concours restoration, but I want it to look good and last.
All opinions welcomed! Thanks!

One of my housings was POR15'd and top coated with black. The other 3 were just blasted and painted black. For sure, the powder coating is going to hold up better in the long run.

I pay my blaster buddy $30.00 to blast my housings and paint them myself for about $25.00 in materials. I think a price check from Leanna would certainly reveal that the price is pretty fair, although don't expect the high quality that PSC is famous for!! Geof

Same here... I have had 3 places quote me $150 for blasting (or stripping) and powder coat here in Cincinnati. I haven't done it yet, and not sure if I will...

That's what I did, wire wheel and POR-15 then top coat with Rustoleum rattle can semi-gloss black. This will last a very long time. You can see what the results look like in the picture.
