[WANTED] 90 degree power steering fitting

I damaged my high pressure 90 degree fitting when installing the gear box and in now has a slow leak. Does anyone have a spare that they are willing to sell or know a source besides Year One for a reasonably priced replacement. I don’t mind if it is not original but I want the 90 degree fitting to keep the hose away from the exhaust.

Looking for the fitting but and o-ring or
let me know if I should convert to an AN fitting and hoses.

You can see where I damaged mine.

I dont think thats factory I have not seen that before, But here is a suggestion, Parker Store/Fluid Dynamics or maybe a forklift repair house.

Just keep in mind that 90 degree bends that tight create heat that is why factory used a straight fitting with a smooth 90 bent tube instead, if you look into the fitting you have now it is a HARD 90 that is a straight drilled hole from each opening. Just a little info i learned along the way, Good luck I hope you get it fixed

I ordered the parts pictured in the photos. It is the straight fitting and a hose that someone recommended from this site that doesn’t come up in Rockauto for Barracuda applications with the 273. It was recommended because of the smooth bends it’s routing to be out of the way. I’ll post comments and pictures of how it goes with the new parts.

Update....half of the RockAuto order came in (Lars straight fitting with o-ring #176). There is 2” between the top of the fitting and the 340 exhaust manifold. We will see if there is enough space between the hose and the manifold tomorrow.

My 67 Dart has that right angle fitting also. Must have been a 67 thing.

ANY place that can hydraulic hoses has them . This is common .

Here is the completed install. I’m pretty happy with it as long as it doesn’t leak. The alternate power steering hose is the perfect size...not too long or short and tucks away in all of the right spots. The Edelman power steering hose #70343 is the way to go.

90 degree fitting with o ring. This is the only metric bolt/fitting on my car

I did hand form the metal tubing to this position to make room for the cold air intake going into this space down the road....but it fits great without any modification.

The hose specified for the car is the correct length, yes it is quite long, no idea why.
It was originally run under the battery tray and back to the pump.

You're not worrying about original so this doesn't really matter.

Hey Alan......thanks for the info and picture. I have learned a long time ago if I think something is wrong it is usually me. I’ll keep the long hose as a spare or if I need space for the cold air intake. Thanks.
