I have a '65 push button 904 transmission that's still bolted to a slant 6. I was told the motor n tranny both worked good when pulled. Will sell for $50 obo or a slant six starter, prefer a mini starter.

I don't remember if the Slant 6 starter is the same as a small block (getting forgetful in my old age.) If it is, look on Ebay. There is an outfit that supplies new starters for almost anything. I got one for my '89 D-250 318. It was a knockoff of the Nippon Denso and it was made in Japan. It was identical with the ND that I took out.
When I ordered mine about two years ago it was about $70 including shipping. They had over 30,000 feedbacks and 100% satisfaction.

Same, I got the same starter on my 6 that I had on my 451 and my 360/408....

Pm on it's way tomorrow

Mine is a 91 dodge Dakota 318 on my slant six and I should have another.
Yes they will do a great job and fit just fine :happy1:

FYI.
The '64 push button trans has a different valve body to '65.The '65 will work with a '64 push button shift BUT the '64 push button will not work on the '65 floor or column shift unless you mod the valve body. :banghead:

I hope that clears up all the confussion.
