904 issues

I have a 904 that was rebuild back in 04 and has had maybe 100-200 miles put on it back then. The car has sat ever since until this past week . Got the car running and everything seemed fine even did a few burnouts without issue . Then went out for a cruise and it seemed like the car was going into neutral and not grabbing . So I park for a second then try to move the car and it works fine for about a mile or so then its starts acting up again like its slipping it all gears or almost into a neutral or even stuck between gears ??? Could this be the front pump going or the converter taking a poo?

Sitting for 16 years. The pump seals and fluid are now garbage. Get a basic seal kit and rebuild it again. Your clutches should be fine. It’s not good for this like slush boxes to just sit around and not be used...

Usually a lip seal sticks to a drum then tears apart. Kim
