Really close to get my '67 on the road and went to check kick down adjustment when I realized that the rod that goes from the frame mounted bell crank -to-the-904 trans is M.I.A. Is this rod standard enough that I could pull one of a Pick-a-Part car? I guess I can get the Locar kick-down, but at $70+, plus the fact that it looks like it would be a royal pain to install, I hope plan "A" would work.

You can cobble a regular late nodel 1 peice 2bbl. rod to work. You'll just need to adjust it so the throttle on the carb contacts imediatly (SP ouch, hey, it's early for me.) A nut, bolt and 2 washers can take up the space on the linkage arm so the carb moves it. Also adjust down at the trans lever.
Not preety, but it works.
