904 Kick Down To 1st?

Early 1961 904 - did the passing gear kick down only go to 2nd or did it also kick down from 2nd to 1st? Thanks

Let me rephrase the question then:

From the factory, did the '61 A-904 kick down from 2nd to 1st or only from 3rd to 2nd?

(every other automatic I've owned will kick down from 2nd to 1st)
