904 parts swap??? Anybody

Will slant 6 trans internals work in a standard 904 v8 platform? The reason I ask is the 904 I have is a lock up style but the slant 6 is a non lock up wich is what I need. The trans thats in the car is a non lock up 904 that blew up literally chunks of metal in the pan! So can I swap out the input shaft assembly's with no problems is my question.

The parts will swap, the question is one of how many clutches you have in the drum.
