904 tranny swap question

I have a 904 behind a 318 in a 73 Duster. A friend of mine has a 904 behind a slant 6 in a 75 Dart. I am going to build the 318 and put a 727 behind it. My friend said his 904 is shot. Will the 904 from my 318 bolt to his slant 6 or do you need a different tranny for a slant 6. I know nothing about the 904'S. appreciate any response.

nope--- bell housings differ on mopars--- slants to slants small blocks to small blocks-- etc...
