can i rebuild the valve body out of my slant six and use it in my v8 904? I'm pretty sure its the same thing right? i'm just trying to reduce down time without the car.

I tried that with mine, put a shift kit in a v8 904 VB before pulling my /6 one apart. Wouldn't fit, had to do it again. The v8 trans was a 1984 and the /6 trans was a 68. I'm sure some will interchange with each other but without comparing them side by side I cant tell you which ones.
