I want to build a stroker but am confused on witch block to use. I have a 71 360 or a 97 360 Mag. block to start with. Witch is the best foundation? I was thinking the 97 because it is a roller motor to begin with. Am i thinking right or wrong? Is one block stronger than the other? Any input welcomed, and thanks for any help. (PLEASE MOVE ME TO SMALL BLOCK TECH) SORRY!

I would go with the magnum, simply because it is a roller and you don't have to worry about beak-in or wiped lobes. Anything that I have read so far shows no problems with block strength when using a magnum block.
