A-Bodies...Big Motors / New Hemi Duster - FINAL ASSEMBLY

-
brad...is that a real car you just put up?...I think it a green Swinger?

Hey buddy it's a real car but that picture was photo shopped for me to show me what it would look like Pro Street-ed and Slammed to the Ground, The car is real though and painted that way for me until I ever get any money. I want it Plum Crazy...well a HEMI would be nice also LOL. Right now though it's a Leaning Tower of well you no.
Brad

it caught my eye....and I was wantin' to see more of it....

my wife also says...I'm full of sheet!

Skypower......thanks for the liquid refresher...BUURRRRP!....the munchies are great too!!!

Glad you could enjoy hope it didn't slowwwwww progress to much. Thanks again.

just took a nite off.....3 days at the auto auctions can wear me out

your package hit the spot......great timing!

Great glad I could help. What do you think about Stage V heads thinking about adding a set to my engine.

overkill...for a driver....for my A body builds...I have to be carefull to not exceed any of the physical dimensions of a stock (steel/aluminum..doesn't matter) hemi head...I have virtually no wiggle room and some of the aftermarket heads are slightly larger (physically)

I know room is at a premium but these heads are supposed to be exact demensions and look of stock heads. I am thinking about going with them because I need to replace a couple of valves and well I just can't do that so I would replace all and by the time I do that I would be close to cost of a new set of Heads that could give me more power, less wt., and better cooling. This whole build has me completly confused I just can't make my mind up on stuff. I did find an mp dual quad intake and carbs so that is what I will run for intake.

I love the aluminum heads.....for the weight savings alone ....I don't care whose as long as they are the same as stock outer dimensions. I don't know what a set of stage V costs compared to Mopar...now made by Elderbrock for them

about 4k complete they flow about 375 so should give me room to grow If I so choose so to speek.

Where can I get my hands on some nifty green tape?
Double-Trouble Green Tape is only available at HemiDenny's Garage.

If it shows up on your car, you have to stop work immediately and
access your errors.

If this tape shows up on your bathroom plumbing you might as well
just go and buy an outhouse.

There could be substantial penalties involved (just ask your wife).

Skypower....I think a new Mopar aluminum set will cost you around $1400 less....and will give you all the HP you'll ever need for your street 'Cuda.....

be carefull..do NOT to get caught up in big HP numbers (especially future)....that always equals EXTRA..unneccassary $$$$$$$$$$ NOW

Ok it's Sunday night again how is the progress going I am sending my car to chassis guy wednesday to have coil overs installed on the rear. I will make a decision on my motor next week.

what are you doing to the rear???....what happened to the "budget"...4k heads and coilover conversion????

That $4 gas has been good to you ehh?

this weekend I worked on re-re-reinstalling the gear vendor wiring and final mounting of electrical componets in the interior area along with finishing up with the "rattle guard" install....just lots of little stuff...time consuming

should be breaking ground on next house build this week so had to allot time for some final tweeking of several issues......it never ends....but I told my wife.....I wouldn't squak....just get us (transfer) back to NW Ohio!!!!

Well as said before most of my projects seem to have a mind of their own. The car has ladder bars but the floater was frozen up so it got taken off so I had to do something new floater or upgrade a little and put the coil overs. Heads mine need some valve work and I just wouldn't do a couple of valves so to get the heads redone with new valves seats guides etc $1700 or just replace them with something better that will give me more power, run cooler and let me bump compression if I choose to.

Glad to see you getting thru all that little stuff, sure takes a lot of time to do it right. That's why I haven't taken my car any farther apart right now, no time. I will run the motor and suspension stuff for awhile and sort out the bugs and then when things settle down for me a little I will take it apart and put it back together properly. Right now I just want to drive it and not worry about where I leave it. I still have the 68 which I can't sell so mind as well build it also would like to go NSS racing for some fun.

I don't know how you can build a car and House at the same time good luck with both.

what car is this one????...I thought it was your '68?

I built (general contractor/do all) the one in WV....pretty much because I couldn't find anyone there I would trust to build a dog house.....but we've hired a trusted/known general contractor on this one.....however... theres always details that need to be addressed

The black car is my 69 it's an original 383 4 speed car but it has been mini tubbed with Dana and all it's the car the Hemi is going in, but I also have a 68 that I bought first to start this project that car is a /6 auto car. I found the black car when I was looking for a Dana for the 68 so I just bought it to speed things up since it was already a decent car and setup the way I was going to build the 68, now since I can't seem to find a buyer for the 68 I may just keep it and build a nice race car out of it, I don't know really what to do with it right now it's a complete car so I don't want to part it out.

Are you flipping the houses or are you collecting them like cars? Both can be fun and cost lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$.

no flippin' here......short version....wife (we) took a re-location with her job to WV...about 5 years ago....finally got re-located back home a few months ago....

just glad to have all my stuff in the same zip code.....one move to go!

I understand some of those problems we have 3 stores about 2 1/2 hours apart and I live an hour from 2 of them and an hour and half from the other, no garage at the house so car stays at my Port Richey store but that means if I want to work on the car it's stay really late since the store closes at @ 6,7,8 or when ever were done you know what I mean. Working on it on the weekend means an hour drive one way so no going out and putting in a quick half hour. Just sucks sometimes we can't move right now still have 17 year old at home and he is junior so one more year and then maybe we will move a little closer to my office. Who knows.

That sucks. I built my garage behind my business! that helps a lot! LOL

I am just going to get Josh out of school then I will do something just not sure what yet but will for sure allow me to play at the house no more driving all over the world. @ 18 months to go then off to college. Not saying I want him gone cause man do they grow up quick, but I would like to have some more elbow room anyway at the house, just don't want to screw up his High School memories, when he is done then we will figure out what works best for us, it's his time right now.
