I really liked my 6 weeks in the Knoxville area back in September and October, not really Black, the proper name is Granite pearl...very, very dark grey...looks Black in the shade though. The hood will have a matte black treatment but will not be the typical Mopar hood blackout...too over used.

I think that maybe we all need to be in Findlay, OH.....Pittsburg, PA......or
somewhere in between the two. An area saturated with Mopar knowledge.

As being an auto painter for the last thirty five years I really enjoy seeing work like this being performed. Squaring up the body, fitment of panels, is an art form. You picked a beautiful color combination, it works. I sure would like to see the elephant stuffed in there.

Thanks....schooled by Bout...body shop owner/friend for over 40 years

the Hemi...looks like it belongs...factory A/C an all

hope Dan gets a Classic Industries.... Sharktooth Grille assembly for Christmas

Dan's motor in Denny's mock-up with the Schumaker mounts. The need for that motor mount
strut will become readily apparent the first time you see Dan go through the gears. The green
tape near the LF K-frame mount denotes an area for cleaning and welding when it's out again.

What's been happening this winter (besides customer stuff)?

1. The correct matching retina-searing red seat belts have finally been received and installed.

Dans383061.jpg

2. New black trunk bulkhead trim panel designed / made / installed.

Dans383058.jpg

3. New 2.5" tailpipes about 3/4 done. (ignore cat in photo - he's a ham)

I guarantee you that car WILL move when the engine starts! Lol will give whole new meaning to calling it p_ssy

Are those the correct seat belts for a 1970? If so where didyou get them?

Year One....I think they are for the 67 to maybe 70 A-body...car is actually a '74...but do not tell anyone.

I liked the chrome latch vs the later...probably correct, black plastic latch

What the heck, You couldn't talk Dan into a Denny K member for that Big block...I know it's not needed for the big block install, but it damn cool.

it's cheap to go this route...what can I say?

and there is always ..down the road

Good one....
Dan bought the trans and K-frame and brakes off a member here that was swapping to a RMS set-up for his beautiful small block Dart. I just added the modified TTi's, clutch cross-shaft, and Schumakers for his 383. The torque support was already there.....just needed some tweeking.

Looking great. Maybe I should buy the slant and put it back in the Dart.......

Went through 100 pages so glad I'm not the only one that chit chats in his build thread. Denny your silver car is amazing. I'm speechless otherwise.

did legendary make the interior to our color specs, or is that a factory mopar color?

im planning an el camino build, and i want the hemidenny porno red interior.

it is the Mopar RED....the custom part from Legendary was the way they stitched the covers....a little more of the 72 flavor.

the same RED as the '65 super stockers

thanks, hemidenny. its just the right color. perfect shade. figures mopar did it......

and why did you capitilize the red all those times? just wondering. was somebody calling it a different color somewhere in the thread that i missed?
