Hi guys geting a good amount of emails on 8 3/4 a body rearends. What I would like to know what are the measurments on this rearend from one spring pearch to the outher, drum to drum. Are all 67 to 72 SB axel rears the same. Some people will tell you anything just to sell what they have.I had one guy ask what year car do you have and said ya this will work.Thanks.Guys.

Original should ALL be SBP

57 1/8 drum to drum

43 perch centers

52 5/8 flange to flange

Only real difference between years is the drum style and brake tee location.

I know there are a few differences between years, but all 63-76 A-Body rears will interchange, the exception being the drive shaft length will be different between the 7 1/4, 8 1/4 & 8 3/4.

There are also a few Fords that interchange with the 63-76 A-Bodies without modification.

Just ask for all the measurements before you buy a rearend. I have noticed a few guys pushing the early B-Body rears, they may work but they are far from a bolt in, and they look like **** because they are just too wide for an A-Body. You also have to run such a ridiculous offset wheel that looks like a front wheel drive wheel.
