A Body WAGONS-Ho! A body Wagon Thread

Great idea for a thread. Here's my '78 Valiant Regal wagon, factory air, steer, console auto with numbers matching 318 and torqueflite. Original car except for the wheels.

Picked up this 62 Valiant Suburban a couple of years back. Do not know what to do with it yet. Slant 6 225, 4 bbl Offenhauser with Carter 400 CFM, A833 tranny and 8 3/4 rear. Door has been replaced since photo, fairly rusty but came with a lot of extra pieces.

I don't have a Wagon but I have a Wagon related question that I have always wondered... Why did the 63-66 wagons get the more open, round rear wheel arches but everything else here in North America (4dr, 2dr, convertible and even the Barracuda) did not?

-manual 4-speed (floor mounted with Hurst linkage)
-HD shocks
-fast manual steering
-sure grip rear axle
-Hi capacity radiator
-power tailgate
-remote control mirror
-safety belts (front and rear)
-kph - speedometer
-H4 headlights (dealer installed)

Mine came with....

-273 V8
-PS
-A/C
-Disc brakes
-glovebox lock
-roofrack
-tinted glass
-front and rear seatbelts.

To make them the sexiest 63-66 models built :)
I'm thinking about trying to change the wheelwells on my GT hardtop to wagon wheelwells, too

(Probably the real reason is that they didn't want to make different quarter panels for the Valiant and Dart wagons, so they picked one shape and stuck with it, but that's just a guess)

Anyone got one or know where i can get one of these? 66 wagon driver side tail gate light

My father's car (user:- Marvin -). 1966 Valiant Station 200 with a 273.c.i. 2bbl and four on the flour (matching numbers).

It was our first time in a judged show this weekend and our little '60 Valiant V200 Suburban took 3rd place in a very large field of 1957 to 1961 production cars!... We are stoked!

Congrats!!!

I'm hunting some wagon rear quarter panels, mainly the wheel arches. Anybody have an idea on where to get a pair?

Will get my pics up soon. Meanwhile,
read somewhere on the website that the exhaust pipe on wagons is supposed to dump
out behind the left wheel. Anyone verify this, and/or have a picture of proper positioning? THanks

Another question: my 64 dart 270 has shocks with springs surrounding them. Did the cars come from the factory with these?
