A/C Control Switch Button Replacement

I am going to order a new A/C control switch for my 1971 Demon 340 with the rallye dash. And I have two questions.
#1 How do you detach the push buttons from the old switch and install them on the new switch?
#2 What type and size are the screws that mount the A/C control head onto the instrument cluster bezel?

Word of caution here. The buttons only go in one way. They pull straight out and push back in. If they are upside down it will break the plastic switch. The bolts are a small hex head, 24 threads per inch.
