Yeah, I really want to get a new mig myself.
I have an old millermatic 35 , it does great work but it only takes a .035 wire and some stuff doesn't like it. Like .024 steel I have for my floor pans lol
yeah i use .023 and love it... makes thinner work easy.. the yeswelder 250 on amazon is a great little welder and i think under 300
 
K.. not total birdshit but not dimes, i like to stay in the middle... would be better but i had to stop and rotate the pipe.. and can't see **** out of my mask, too bright or 2 dark.. i have all the exsuses :)

yeah.. one muffler is bout 2" more forward than that other.. and that's gonna eat at me.. it's always something :)
 
I love this place. OP makes some arcane post, but that doesn't stop anyone. We're three pages in and just having conversation & talkin ****.
 
He's preheating it here, but it's really not necessary. I think he's doing it mainly because it's so cold where he is.

Great. I'll have to give that a try.
I'm mostly interested in repairing cracks in combustion chambers.
 
Yeah so I guess all the rest of us just build total junk. lol
